The Thermo Scientific Phi6 dsRNA is an equimolar mixture of three linear double-stranded RNA segments that constitute the bacteriophage Phi6 genome. The dsRNA fragments are 2948 bp (S segment), 4063 bp (M), and 6374 bp (L) in length. The dsRNA is isolated from the wild-type bacteriophage Phi6 propagated in P. syringae pv. phaseolicola HB10Y.
Applications
• dsRNA size standard for agarose gel electrophoresis
• Control RNA for dsRNA-specific enzymatic reactions, e.g. Dicer, RNase III, or RNA helicases
Includes
• Phi6 dsRNA in a total concentration of 500 ng/µL in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 1 mM EDTA. The relative concentrations of the S, M, and L segments are approximately 110, 150, and 240 ng/µL, respectively.
