EpCAM (VU1D9) Mouse mAb (Pacific Blue™ Conjugate)能够检测内源性的EpCAM总蛋白。该单克隆抗体由小细胞肺癌细胞NCI-H69免疫动物而产生。这一细胞信号传导抗体由荧光染料Pacific Blue™标记，可以用于人源细胞的流式细胞分析。该抗体与未标记的 EpCAM (VU1D9) Mouse mAb #2929具有相同的种属交叉反应性。上皮细胞粘附和活化分子(EpCAM/CD326)是一种介导Ca2+独立、同嗜性粘附于大多数上皮细胞表面的跨膜糖蛋白。EpCAM并不在成人扁平上皮表达，但却高表达于腺癌及鳞状上皮细胞癌(1)。研究表明EpCAM是最早鉴定的肿瘤相关抗原之一，长期以来它都是上皮和肿瘤组织的标记物。研究者已经证实EpCAM在癌细胞高表达(综述见 2,3)。

Description

This Cell Signaling Technology antibody is conjugated to Pacific Blue™ fluorescent dye and tested in-house for direct flow cytometry analysis in human cells. The antibody is expected to exhibit the same species cross-reactivity as the unconjugated EpCAM (VU1D9) Mouse mAb #2929.

Background

Epithelial cell adhesion and activating molecule (EpCAM/CD326) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that mediates Ca2+-independent, homophilic adhesions on the basolateral surface of most epithelial cells. EpCAM is not expressed in adult squamous epithelium, but it is highly expressed in adeno and squamous cell carcinomas (1). Research studies identified EpCAM as one of the first tumor-associated antigens, and it has long been a marker of epithelial and tumor tissue. Investigators have shown that EpCAM is highly expressed in cancer cells (reviewed in 2,3).
