Pumilio 1 Antibody能够检测内源性的 pumilio 1总蛋白水平。该多克隆抗体是经由合成的围绕人pumilio 1蛋白Gly169位点的氨基酸肽段免疫动物而生产的。经过Protein A和亲和层析纯化。Pumilio 1 和Pumilio 2 (PUM1, PUM2, 或 Pumilio 同源物1 和 2)是进化上保守的RNA结合蛋白，研究认为它们能够通过与特定RNA序列的3'-UTR结合来抑制翻译和mRNA靶标的稳定性（1）。Pumilio蛋白涉及了参与胚胎形成和生殖细胞发育的基因的调控（2）。研究表明PUM2可能在神经干细胞命运决定中发挥作用（3）。

Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gly169 of human pumilio 1 protein. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.

Background

Pumilio 1 and Pumilio 2 (PUM1, PUM2, or Pumilio homolog 1 and 2, respectively) are evolutionarily conserved RNA binding proteins that are thought to repress translation and stability of mRNA targets by binding to the 3'-UTR of specific RNA sequences (1). Pumilio proteins have been implicated in the regulation of genes involved in embryogenesis and germline cell development (2). Research studies have shown that PUM2 may have a role in neural stem cell fate decisions (3).
