Wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) is one of the most widely used lectins in cell biology. Ourtetramethylrhodamine conjugate of WGA exhibits the bright, orange fluorescence of the tetramethylrhodamine dye (excitation/emission maxima ~555/580 nm). Tetramethylrhodamine WGA binds to sialic acid and N-acetylglucosaminyl residues.
