TAE Buffer is the most commonly used buffer for agarose DNA electrophoresis. A 1X solution is obtained by adding 1 part of the concentrated TAE to 9 or 39 parts of deionized water.
Form:Clear, colorless liquid.
Properties:
Composition (10X):400mM Tris-acetate, 10mM EDTA.
Composition (40X):1.6M Tris-acetate, 40mM EDTA.
pH at 25°C:8.2–8.4.
Lead:≤10ppm.
