Our convenient Vybrant MTT Cell Proliferation Assay Kit simplifies the task of counting cells. MTT is an established reagent that is widely used to determine cell number in a variety of applications. Live cells reduce MTT to a strongly pigmented formazan product. After solubilization, the absorbance of the formazan can be measured with a microplate absorbance reader – a fluorometer is not needed. This kit provides a complete package for performing a cell-counting assay that can detect from 2000 to 250,000 cells, depending on the cell type and conditions. The conveniently packaged reagents reduce waste, and the detailed protocol conserves valuable time. The kit provides a sufficient amount of material for ~1000 assays.
