MCA1118F recognises the human CD86 antigen, a cell surface protein expressed by activated B cells and monocytes. CD86 is also known as B7-2, and is the second ligand for CD28 and CTLA-4, and may have an important role in co-stimulation of T cells in the primary immune response.
