CD69 is a 55-70 kD glycoprotein that under reducing conditions dissociates in 3 components (gp 26,28,34), differentially glycosylated forms of a 21kD protein. CD69 is an early activation antigen also called Activation Inducer Molecule (AIM) that is very early, before antigens such as CD25 and CD71 are expressed strongly on T-cells after activation. CD69 is also expressed by activated B-lymphocytes.
