Anti mouse farnesyl diphosphate synthetase antibodyrecognizes the C-terminal 116 amino acids of farnesyl diphosphate synthetase.
Due to high homology, the antibody may cross-react with the farnesyl diphosphate synthetase of other species. The cross-species identity is: rat 98%, bovine 89%, human 89%, orang utan 89%, chimpanzee 89%, chicken 86%.
The mKIAA1293 protein, also known as farnesyl diphosphate synthetase, catalyzes the formation of a key cellular intermediate in isoprenoid metabolic pathways. The sequential condensation of isopentenyl pyrophosphate with the allylic pyrophosphate, dimethylallyl pyrophosphate, and then with the resultant geranylpyrophosphate is catalyzed to ultimately yield the product farnesyl pyro-phosphate. Beside the isoprene and cholesterol biosynthesis, the enzyme seems to be active in the fibroblast growth factor (FGF)-mediated signalling as a modulator of the cellular response to FGF treatment. The cytoplasmic enzyme forms a homodimer and belongs to the FPP/GGPP synthetase family.
Product Form
A lyophilised bivalent human recombinant Fab selected from the HuCAL® GOLD phage display library. Expressed in E. coli and purified using NiNTA affinity chromatography. This Fab fragment is dimerized via a helix-turn-helix motif. The antibody is tagged with a myc-tag (EQKLISEEDL) and a his-tag (HHHHHH) at the C-terminus of the antibody heavy chain.
