CD8 is a 32kD glycoprotein, expressed by the suppressor/cytotoxic subset of T lymphocytes, and more weakly by NK cells. The molecule acts as a receptor for MHC Class I molecules.CD38 is a 45kD glycoprotein expressed by immature B and T lymphocytes, activated T cells, germinal centre B cells and plasma cells.
