描述：

GATA-1抗体识别内源性的总GATA-1蛋白。多克隆抗体是通过一种合成的肽段去免疫动物产生。这种合成的肽段与邻近人源GATA-1蛋白的Pro401氨基酸残基序列一致，抗体由肽段亲和层析技术纯化。GATA蛋白含有一组含有保守的锌指DNA结合结构域的转录因子，能够直接和核心元件GATA核苷酸序列结合(1-3)。共有六种脊椎动物GATA蛋白，GATA-1到GATA-6(3)。GATA-1是GATA家族主要成员，为红细胞和巨核细胞发育所必需[4,5]。对应GATA-1的突变与多种人类疾病相关，包括在唐氏综合症儿童中的急性巨核细胞白血病(DS-AMKL), X连锁血小板减少症，灰色血小板综合征[6-9]。

Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro401 of human GATA-1. Antibodies are purified by peptide affinity chromatography。

Background

GATA proteins comprise a group of transcription factors that are related by the presence of conserved zinc finger DNA binding domains, which bind directly to the nucleotide sequence core element GATA (1-3). There are six vertebrate GATA proteins, designated GATA-1 to GATA-6 (3).GATA-1 is the founding member of the GATA family and is required for erythroid and megakaryocytic cell development (4,5). Mutations in GATA-1 have been linked to many human diseases, including acute megakaryoblastic leukemia in Down syndrome children (DS-AMKL), X-linked thrombocytopenia, and gray platelet syndrome (6-9).
