描述：

GCK Antibody兔多抗能检测内源性总GCK蛋白。该抗体不能与HPK、GCK家族其他成员发生交叉反应。该多克隆抗体是通过用与人源GCK蛋白丝氨酸（3980位点）周围残基相一致的合成肽段免疫动物后获得的。该抗体经蛋白A和肽亲和层析纯化。生发中心激酶 (GCK)是GCK家族的创始成员,它是酵母Ste20激酶的一组丝氨酸/苏氨酸激酶同源物。GCK被TNF蛋白激活，并与TRAF2 (TNF 受体相关因子2)和MEKK1相关，因此能激活SAPK/JNK通路(1,2)。GCK不能有效地磷酸化MEKK1，但是能增强MEKK1的寡聚化和自磷酸化(3)。GCK结合并激活MLK3，说明GCK可能还有其他效应子(3)。

Specificity / Sensitivity

GCK Antibody detects endogenous levels of total GCK protein. This antibody does not cross-react with HPK or other members of the GCK family

Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser380 of human GCK. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.

Background

Germinal center kinase (GCK) is the founding member of the GCK family, a group of serine/threonine kinases homologous to the yeast Ste20 kinase. GCK is activated by TNF and associated with TRAF2 (TNF receptor-associated factor 2) and MEKK1, thereby activating the SAPK/JNK pathway (1,2). GCK does not significantly phosphorylate MEKK1, instead it enhances MEKK1 oligomerization and autophosphorylation (3). GCK binds and activates MLK3, indicating that GCK may have other effectors (3).
