AEC chromogen concentrate is intended for use with AEC substrate bufferBUF020for use in immunohistochemistry procedures. It produces a reddish/brown precipitate localised to the site of antigen detected by immunohistochemical staining utilising horseradish peroxidase enzyme labels.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Storage
Store at +4oC. DO NOT FREEZE. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Instructions For Use
1. Dilute AEC Chromogen concentrate 1:50 with AEC Substrate BufferBUF020.
2. Apply mixture to tissue section.
3. Incubate the slides for 5 - 10 min at room temperature.
4. Rinse tissue sections with deionized water.
5. Counterstain and mount using aqueous mounting media.
6. AEC induces a red precipitate with almost no background.
