Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is a potent immunoregulatory cytokine produced by a variety of cell types including monocytes and epithelial cells.
This T cell growth factor can enhance the cytolytic activity of antigen-specific T cells and lymphokine-activated killer cells. Human IL-15 is an 11 kDa protein, as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis. Recombinant human IL-15 (Cat. No. 560254) is provided lyophilized, containing bovine serum albumin and no preservatives. Recombinant human IL-15 is ≥ 95% pure as determined by SDS-PAGE, and an absorbance assay based on the Beers-Lambert law. The endotoxin level is ≤ 0.1 ng per µg of human IL-15, as measured in a chromogenic LAL assay.
Preparation and Storage
Store undiluted at -20°C.
