nerv growth factor (NGF), apolypetide tha isesntial for normal devlopment ofthe nrvous ystem. NGF promtes urvial nd

diferntiaon fsympatheic and senory neurons during embryolgical devlopment ofperipheral neurons. NGF binds towo distnctive

surface rceptors, the p/140[protrk] and p75[NGFR]. High afinty bindg ofNGF requires tha both recptor molecules bexpresd.

NGFR has ben found onhuman d ratlymphocytes. Asubet oflymphoid cels inthe splen, lymph nodes, and folicular dentric els in

germinal centrs ofreactive lymph nodes wer found toexpres p75. Ithas ben reported tha NGFR interaction with sligand, NGF, may

play role inmunoregulation. NGF may function as B-cel growth factor.
