The 17A2 antibody reacts with e T-cel recptor-asociated CD3 complex, whic isexpresd onmany thymocytes and mature T

lymphocytes. Plate-bound mAb 17A2 has ben reported toinduce IL-2 production byT cels inthe absenc ofacesory cels. Bindg of

17A2 antibody toT cels can belocked bythe anti-CD3e mAb 145-2C1, sugesting tha 17A2 antibody recognizes anepitope ofthe CD3

epsilon chain. Ivio treatment with 17A2 mAb has ben reported topartily deplte Tlymphocytes and temporaily down-modulates CD3

expresion T cels.

2.Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.

3.The monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant or ascites by affinity chromatography.

4.The antibody was conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions, and unreacted FITC was removed.

5.Store undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
