These sets are designed for cost-effective and accurate quantification of human IL-8 in cell culture supernatant, serum, plasma or other biological fluids. They are sensitive, accurate, and robust.

Human IL-8 is a member of the alpha (C-X-C) subfamily of chemokines. In response to proinflammatory stimuli, IL-8 is produced by monocytes, macrophages, T cells, neutrophils, and fibroblasts. IL-8 promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation leading to local inflammation in damaged or infected tissues.
