Overview
• Determine protein concentrations from 1 - 10 mg/ml
• Independent of amino acid composition
• Few interfering compounds
Detailed Description
The Biuret Protein Assay is a simple method for determining protein concentration. The amount of protein present in the sample is calculated based on the color change of the copper in the Biuret reagent in the presence of peptide bonds. The intensity of the color change is directly proportional to the number of peptide bonds present. Contains sufficient material to run 50 - 70 samples.
