AHP972 recognises the N-terminal (NT) region of TOR (mammalian Target of Rapamycin), a 214kDa evolutionarily conserved serine/threonine kinase which controls protein biosynthesis through regulation of a number of protein families.
TOR can be inhibited by the immunosuppressive drug rapamycin, resulting in a reduction in cell growth, proliferation, and rate of cell cycle.
This antibody has been reported as suitable for use in IHC on L1210 cell cytospins.

Where this antibody has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the antibody for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP972 detects a band of approximately 214kDa in mouse L1210 cell lysates.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human TOR (NT) were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
