AHP848 is specific for the 94kD glucose regulated protein (GRP94), also known as tumour rejection antigen (gp96). GRP94 is an endoplasmic reticulum resident molecular chaperone, which is a paralog of cytoplasmic Hsp90. GRP94 assists in the folding of membrane-bound proteins including the Toll-like receptors, certain subclasses of integrins and some secreted proteins such as IgG.
AHP848 detects a band of 105kD in extracts from cynomolgus monkey brain.
