AHP840 is specific for human minichromosome maintenance deficient 4 (MCM4).
MCM4 is involved in the initiation and control of eukaryotic DNA replication. Studies show that MCM4 forms a hexameric protein complex with MCM6 and 7, which has DNA helicase activity, and may act as a DNA unwinding enzyme. The phosphorylation of MCM4 by CDC2 kinase reduces the DNA helicase activity and chromatin binding of the MCM complex.

Where this antibody has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the antibody for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP840 detects a band of approximately 100 kDa in HeLa cell lysates.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human MCM4 were raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
