AHP837 is specific for human flap structure-specific endonuclease 1 (FEN1).
FEN1 is a member of the XPG/RAD2 endonuclease family which has an important role in lagging strand DNA synthesis and base excision repair. It is hypothesised that FEN1 may play a role in the inhibltion of triplet repeat expansion.
