AHP750 recognises the carboxyterminal region of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9). AHP750 does not cross react with other MMP family members.
MMP-9 is expressed by a range of cell types, including trophoblasts, fibroblasts, dendritic cells and some epithelial cells.
In quiescent cells, MMP-9 may be expressed at low levels. It has reported that some tumour cell lines constitutively produce MMP-9.

AHP750 detects MMP-9 in reducing and non-reducing conditions. Under non-reducing conditions this antibody will identify both the pro- and active forms of human MMP-9.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human MMP-9 were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
