Neurofibrillary tangles (NFT) are made up of paired helical filaments and are a feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD). AHP564 recognises NFT and degenerating plaque neurites in cases of AD, Down's Syndrome and normal aged individuals. AHP564 recognises all NFT as well as paired helical filament-containing neurites.
