AHP542 recognises murine CIDE-B (cell death inducing DFF-like effector A), a protein with homology to the N-terminal region of DFF45 (ICAD). CIDE-B expression has been reported to induce apoptosis in mammalian cells, which is inhibited by DFF45.
AHP542 recognises an epitope within the C-terminal region of CIDE-B and does not cross react with CIDE-A.
