AHP537 recognises human placental alkaline phosphatase, a membrane bound enzyme normally synthesized by syncytiotrophoblasts of the placenta. It is also often found in malignant tumours of germ cell origin such as seminomas.
This antibody may be useful in studies of ovarian and testicular tumours. It will bind to intestinal alkaline phosphatase in addition to placental alkaline phosphatase.
