AHP439 recognises the 57kD apoptosis related protein designated DR-4 (death receptor 4), also known as CD261.
DR4 is a cell surface protein with a death domain that has functional similarities to TNFR1 and CD95. The ligand for DR-4 is TRAIL, and thus DR-4 has also been called TRAIL-RI. DR4 is expressed in most human tissues. In contrast to CD95, TNFR1 and DR3 it does not use FADD to transmit death signals.

Where this antibody has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the antibody for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to CD261 (DR4) were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by ion exchange chromatography.
