AHP395 is specific for NF-kappa-B inhibitor alpha (NFkBIa, also known as IkB alpha). NFkBIa is one of seven members of the IkB class of inhibitor proteins that have been identified to date. NFkBIa inhibits the NFkB complex in unstimulated cells through non-covalent binding. Following stimulation of cells, NFkBIa is phosphorylated so that it dissociates from the NFkB and then ubiquinated prior to degradation.

Where this antibody has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the antibody for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP395 detects a band of approximately 39 kDa in THPI cell lysates.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human NF kappa B inhibitor alpha was raised by repeated immunisation of sheep with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
