AHP2245 recognises human forkhead box O3A (FOXO3A), also known as FKHLR1 and FOXO3, a 95kDa member of the forkhead family of transcription factors. FOXO3A is ubiquitously expressed and is an important regulator of apoptosis and the cell cycle.
FOXO3A triggers apoptosis by inducing the expression of genes necessary for cell death.
