AHP2216 recognises Alpha-adaptin (AP2A2), a component of the adaptor protein complex 2, which plays a role in protein transport in various membrane traffic pathways.
AP2A2, together with NUMB/NUMBL, plays a role in the endosomal degradation and recycling of Notch receptors, during the Notch signaling pathway.
