AHP2152 recognises human PARK2 co-regulated (PACRG), a 296 amino acid protein expressed primarily by Schwann cells. Weak expression has been noted on monocyte derived macrophages which the primary host cells of the leprosy causative bacterium,Mycobacterium leprae.
PACRG expression is detected in all immune tissues, spleen, lymph nodes, thymus, tonsils, leukocyte and bone marrow. Expression is detectable in tissues such as the heart, brain, skeletal muscle, kidney, lung and pancreas.
Research has demonstrated two isoforms of PACRG.

Immunohistology
This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin embedded sections eg. trypsin or pronase prior to staining. This product does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment methods prior to staining of paraffin sections.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to PACRG were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
