AHP2145 specifically recognises an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of human TRAF2 (tumour necrosis factor (TNF) receptor associated factor 2), an adapter protein and signal transducer, which directly binds with TNF receptors and other TRAF proteins, and is essential for TNF-alpha-mediated activation of MAPK8/JNK and NF-kappaB.
TRAF2 plays a role in apoptosis, through the formation of a heterodimeric complex with TRAF1, and interaction with the IAP family members cIAP1 and cIAP2, functioning as a mediator of the anti-apoptotic signals from TNF receptors.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP2145 detects a band of approximately 50kDa in human ovary cell lysates.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human TRAF2 (CT) was raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
