AHP2141 specifically recognises an epitope within the N-Terminal (NT) region of human RNF34 (RING finger protein 34), a ubiquitously expressed E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, which acts as a regulator of the proteasomal degradation of caspase-8 (CASP8) and capase-10 (CASP10).
Studies have shown that over-expression of RNF34 confers resistance to TNF-alpha induced apoptosis in HeLa cells, and that RNF34 interacts with the DnaJ protein DNAJA3/hTid-1, implicated as a modulator of apoptosis.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human RNF34 (NT) was raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
