AHP2117 specifically recognises human TDP43 (TAR DNA-binding protein 43), otherwise known as TARDBP, a ubiquitously expressed RNA and DNA-binding protein, which acts as a transcriptional repressor.
TDP43 binds to chromosomally integrated TAR DNA and represses the transcription of HIV-1. Studies have implicated the involvement of TDP43 in the regulation of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) splicing, through the association with UG repeats at the 3’ splice site.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP2117 detects a band of approximately 45kDa in Jurkat cell lysates.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human TDP43 was raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
