AHP2096 recognises Human Trans-activation responsive RNA binding Protein (TARBP2), a 39kDa RNA binding protein.
TARBP2 is involved in various biological processes connected with RNA transcription and with the regulation of viral transcription.
Research has indicated that defects in TARBP2 maybe connected to gastric, colorectal and endometrial cancers.
