AHP2081 specifically recognises human NCF4 (neutrophil cytosolic factor 4), otherwise known as p40phox, a cytosolic oxidase-associated protein, specifically expressed by cells of haematopoietic origin, which acts as a regulatory component of the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH)- oxidase enzyme system, involved in phagocyte superoxide production.
