AHP2065 specifically recognises an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of human IFIH1 (interferon-induced helicase C domain-containing protein 1), otherwise known as MDA5, a widely expressed cytoplasmic RNA helicase, which acts as a mediator of the innate immune response to viral RNA, and is implicated in apoptosis and growth suppression.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.

Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human IFIH1 (NT) was raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
