AHP1851 recognises human Exocyst complex component 2 (EXOC2), a protein of 924 amino acids belonging to the SEC5 family.
EXOC2 plays a role in protein transport and is a component of the exocyst complex involved in the docking of exocystic vesicles with fusion sites on the plasma membrane.
EXOC2 is widely expressed with high levels being observed in the brain and placenta.
