AHP1785T recognises Ecsit (Evolutionary conserved signalling intermediate in Toll pathway), an adaptor protein of the Toll-like and IL-1 receptor signalling pathway. It is involved in the activation of NF-kappa-B, acting as a regulator of MEKK-1 processing by promoting its proteolytic activation. Ecsit is also involved in the bone morphogenetic protein signalling pathway and is required for normal embryonic development.
