AHP1778T recognises human Probable ATP-dependent helicase LGP2 (LGP2), also known as DHX58, a 768aa cytoplasmic protein belonging to the Helicase family.
LGP2 is a negative regulator of host innate immune defense against viruses. The repressor domain of LGP2 interacts with RIG-I and negatively regulates RIG-I mediated signaling. LGP2 binds to dsRNA produced during viral replication, in particuliar HCV RNA.
