AHP1736 recognises Human Chloride intracellular channel protein 4, (CLIC4), a 253 amino acid protein belonging to the p64 family.
Chloride channels are a group of proteins that function in the regulation of fundamental cellular processes including the stabilization of cell membrane potential, regulation of cell volume, regulation of intracellular pH etc. CLIC4 is expressed in a range of tissues including the heart, placenta and skeletal muscle.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
