AHP1614 recognises the TP53 apoptosis effector related to PMP-22 (PERP), a component of intercellular desmosome, adhesion junctions that are important for tissue integrity. It plays a role in stratified epithelial integrity and cell-cell adhesion by promoting the stable assembly of desmosomal adhesive complexes. It also plays a role in p53 induced apoptosis. Downregulation of PERP correlates with the metastatic capacity of human melanoma cell lines. As such, PERP might be a tumour suppressor.

AHP1614 detects a band of approximately 21kDa in A431 cell lysates.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
