AHP1595 recognises human DOK1 (Downstrean of tyrosine kinase) a 62kDa protein belonging to the DOK family.
Docking proteins interact with receptor tyrosine kinase to mediate particular biological responses. DOK1 is a major substrate for a range of tyrosine kinases including c-kit, v-abl, v-Fms, v-Src along with activated EGF, PDGF, IGF, VEGF and insulin receptors.
Research indicates that DOK1 is a negative regulator of the insulin signalling pathway.
Dok1 is expressed in a range of human tissues including the pancreas, heart and spleen, it is also expressed by both resting and activated peripheral blood T-cells.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP1595 detects a band of approximately 62kDa in Jurkat cell lysates.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human DOK1 (CT) was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
