AHP1532 specifically recognises the coiled-coil protein Rad50, a component of the Mre11/Rad50/Nbs1 (MRN) complex and distantly related member of the SMC protein family, involved in DNA double-strand break repair, DNA recombination, cell cycle checkpoint activation, telomere integrity and meiosis.
