AHP1530 specifically recognises human p73, a potential tumour suppressor protein and member of the p53 family which is expressed as several splice variants and acts as cell cycle regulator and inducer of apoptosis, sharing significant sequence homology and over-lapping functional properties with tumor suppressor p53.
The abnormal expression of p73 and its various isoforms is linked with a variety of carcinomas including neuroblastoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer and renal cell carcinoma, and enhanced expression is apparent during the differentiation of myeloid leukaemic cells.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP1530 detects a band of approximately 70kDa in COS-1 whole cell lysates.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human p73 was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
