AHP1461 recognises Human Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR gamma) a 57.6kDa transcription factor belonging to the nuclear hormone receptor (NR1) family.
PPARG is vital in the regulation of cellular differentiation, development and metabolism. PPARG is a key regulator of adipocyte differentiation and glucose homeostasis. In addition, PPARG is the main target of thiazolidinediones (TZDs), a class of drug used in diabetes mellitus and other diseases that feature insulin resistance.
PPARG is widely expressed with high concentrations being found in adipose tissue.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
