AHP1418 recognises Human Interferon Regulatory Factor 3 (IRF3), a member of the interferon regulatory transcription family.
IRF3 exists as an inactive cytoplasmic form. dsRNA generated during viral infection leads to the phosphorylation of serine/threonine on the C-terminal. Phosphorylation results in dimerization of IRF3 and association with CREB binding protein. The resulting complex translocates to nucleus and activates the transcription of IFN-alpha and IFN-beta.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to human IRF3 was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
