AHP1371 recognises an epitope within the N-Terminal of Human Dipeptidyl peptidase VIII (DPP8). DPP8 is a member of the peptidase S9B family, a small family of dipeptidyl peptidases capable of cleaving peptide substrates at a prolyl bond.
DDP8 is ubiquitously expressed in the cytoplasm, with the highest concentrations being found in the placenta, brain, testis, prostate and muscle tissues. Similarities with Dipeptidyl peptidase IV suggest that DPP8 may play a role in T-cell activation and immune function.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.

Antisera to human DPP8 were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
