AHP1120 detects an epitope within the internal domain of human Ephrin Type A Receptor 4 (EphA4), a 75kD single-pass type I membrane protein which is a member of the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein-tyrosine kinase family.
EphA4 is ubiquitously expressed in the body, and is thought to play a role in a number of different developmental pathways, including the corticospinal tract formation, hindbrain pattern formation and regulating the structure of synaptic connections. EphA4 may also act as a locomotor central pattern generator.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.

This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Antisera to EphA4 were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbit with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
