Rabbit anti human protein kinase c zeta recognises PKCζ a serine/threonine kinase involved in a variety of cell processes including differentiation and proliferation. PKCζ activation is involved in the mitogen-activated protein kinase cascade, transcriptional factor NFkB activation, ribosomal S6-protein kinase signalling, and cell polarity.
Work byMa.et al.in mice has indicated that inhibition of expression of PHGDH by PKCζ acts at a tumor supressor and that loss of PKCζ allows tumor cells to proliferate under glucose deprived conditions leading to poor prognosis.
Rabbit anti human protein kinase c zeta detects an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of PKCζ. PKCζ is a member of the atypical PKC subfamily.
PKCζ may also be a potential therapeutic target in asthma, and a putative role in other pulmonary diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
